body oils feature ingredients from the legendary fruits of Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Scarves are 100% silk and hand-woven by a master weaver in the western city of Herat. They are essentially scaled down turbans in the traditional Afghan style, which have been modified slightly to the tastes and color preferences of western women.

Customer Feedback:
"As a very fortunate Arghand soap consumer, I'd like to add some secular commentary: these gorgeous orbs of soap, which look like precious minerals or polished river stones, are soul soaps-infused with the strength of their creators and--on a very pragmatic level--magical, deeply nourishing cosmetic properties. Arghand: a gift to the world in every way."

"I wish I could thank you and tell each of you in person how much I love your soaps. I love that they are kind to my horribly sensitive skin, especially during chemo and radiation treatments. I love their delicate fragrances (anisette is definitely a favorite). But most of all I love how they feel in my hands – I love how I can almost touch these hands that shaped the stone in my hands. I have been using them for almost a year now and every time I unwrap the silk from a brand new stone, it is still an emotional, moving experience for me. Arghand soaps have truly been a godsend.”
-Lani Heilman, Columbus, Ohio
“I went out shopping for garbage bags and a bass guitar yesterday and ended up coming home with garbage bags, a sphere of pomegranate soap and a package of Arghand note cards. It turns out that the Porter Square Book Store replaced the Dress Barn next to the fancy hardware store that carries the trash bags I needed, and they had a lovely display of Arghand soaps and note cards on the front counter. And now that I’ve washed with the good stuff I can never again return to buying the economy 12-pack of Dove. The note cards are really neat, too. Some; e.g., Boy on Swing, will probably end up in frames rather than envelopes, but maybe one of them, with another purchase of soap, will find its way to Mom this Mother’s Day.”

Arghand offers a line of rich and luxurious skin care products, culled from the legendary fruits and botanicals of southern Afghanistan for which the region was famous prior to decades of war. The indigenous nuts, seeds and herbs are pressed and distillled into magical elixirs whose heady aromas and natural healing properties have enchanted customers from Florida to British Columbia. Arghand products are ideal for sensitive skin without being bland; they are also lovingly formulated to leave skin soft and silky.

As a clinical massage therapist, I have been using Arghand products personally and in my professional practice for more than two years. The body oils are so fine that I call them Elixirs of Arghand because their rare therapeutic components and exquisite qualities cannot be found anywhere else on the market. Throughout the years I have watched people fall in love with these products, which have inspired many of them to extend a helping hand to the people of this rich land that has been devastated by the horrors of war. From my peaceful and prosperous country, I am endlessly awestruck by the unparalleled quality and unique properties of these aromatic oils that are hand crafted with love by our Kandahari friends.
